On my birthday night I went to a restaurant, that serves raclette with friends, in the Umeda Sky Building. Raclette is a type of cheese from Switzerland. Raclette is often heated up until it melts and poured on bread, vegetables, meat or seafood.
I ordered a glass of French wine named “Patience”, because it reminded me to be patient for the raclette cheese. I watched the waiter pour the raclette cheese on some vegetables and bread while I was drinking wine. The waiter looked back wondering why.
At last the raclette arrived, It was very delicious. Every bite was heavenly. I think that I can eat any vegetable if there is cheese on it. I also ordered beef tongue saute. It was rich and a little sweet, it was excellent. I also ordered a gorgonzola risotto that contained prosciutto, mushroom and baby corn. It was very rich and cream, but not overpowering.
For dessert, the waitress brought out a cake. It had 3 candles on it. I wondered if each candle represented a decade. I also wondered if they thought that I was in my 30’s. The cake was pretty good. It was a shortcake that had lots of fruit on it. I think I ate half a year’s worth of fruit in one day.
Overall I don’t feel any older than I was last year. I’m just hoping to receive a raclette machine for Christmas! I want to melt cheese on everything that I eat. I highly recommend that you try raclette cheese!
