英会話のコツ:Quite, fairly & very +(様態副詞)

Most students can use the modifier “very” + adverb, but there are other modifiers that include:

  • Quite, fairly, really and extremely

They change how strong the adverbs are.  Here are some examples:

Q:  How fast can they run?

  • A cat runs quite fast

  • Ichiro runs fairly fast

  • Kagawa runs really fast

  • Usain Bolt runs very fast

  • A cheetah runs extremely fast

How fast do you run?
