My grandparents’ used to own 2 cats. Their names were Pi and Nya. Pi was a tabby cat and Nya was a black and brown moggy cat. A moggy cat is a mixed cat. They were named after the way they cried. One of our relatives found them as abandoned kittens next to a trash can. He brought them to my grandparents’ home. My grandparents were very angry.
At first they were very weak kittens, but they quickly grew into adult cats. Pi was cowardly and lazy. It looked slim, but it had a big belly that hung down. Pi would always run away from me and hated being carried. Nya was always calm and quiet. It was very thin and had a short tail. Nya didn’t run away and didn’t mind being carried. During winter they would always lie in front of the kerosine heater and wouldn’t move.
When they were young they slept on the floor, but as they got older they became weaker. My grandfather built them a new home. He used some cardboard boxes to make a small home with 2 rooms and an entrance. The roof was removable, so we could place hot water bottles in the rooms. The door was really small, so It was funny watching them enter and exit the home.
Unfortunately Nya passed away not long after. Pi lived for another 4 years, it was 23 when it passed away. It was really sad. My grandparents are now retired and because the cats passed away, they have nothing much to do. I think that the cats were very good for them and I think that my grandparents miss them.
