Australia - The Blue Mountains

I went to the Blue Mountains with my father and brother.  The Blue Mountains are a popular tourist spot 2.5 hours from Sydney.  They are known for their beautiful scenery. We went, because my brother wanted to go for a drive and because my father wanted to visit a bakery that he saw on TV.

After having breakfast we headed out.  About 2.5 hours later we arrived at the Blue Mountains
There were some tourists, but unlike in my past visits there were no Japanese tourists.  We went to an observation deck.  From there we could see a breathtaking view of the Blue Mountains. They were very blue.

We went to the bakery on the way back.  It was a German bakery called Schwartz.
My brother and father ordered Black Forest cake.  Black Forest cake is chocolate sponge cake with layers of cream, berries that is topped with chocolate flakes from Germany.  I ordered a slice of pecan tart.  The slice was large and contained many pecans.  It was delicious.

Overall it was great to be able to go to the Blue Mountains.  I think it is a nice area to visit if you like hiking or peace and quiet.
