I had lunch at Tenerezza a restaurant in Fukushima that Ben recommended. It is about a 6 minutes walk from the JR station. It has a nice interior. It felt like I was in a wooden cabin. The staff were nice and prompt. They refilled my glass of water promptly. At first it wasn’t crowded, but 10 minutes after I sat down the restaurant was packed.
I ordered the lunch meal that included a bacon and spinach pizza, sauteed vegetables, focaccia bread and panna cotta. The vegetables were fancy, because it came with pink rock salt. The foccacia was very good, even without olive oil. The pizza had a neapolitan crust that was soft and thin. It was little small for me, but it was delicious. I think the size suits women, but men might want 2. The panna cotta was heavenly, it wasn’t too sweet, but had lots of flavour.
I too recommend going to Tenerezza for lunch. Overall I had a enjoyable dining experience there. It is a nice detour from Umeda.
