Secret Santa

Some people take part in Secret Santa exchanges. Secret Santa is a fun way to exchange gifts with your friends, co-workers, or acquaintances. Many people enjoy being surprised by unpredictable gifts.

  • First, the group sets a price for the presents.

  • Then, each person buys something around that price.

  • Finally, everyone exchanges gifts at a party.

A few years ago I experienced Secret Santa at work. There were about 30 people.

I remember buying something predictable, a box of novelty chocolates for $10.

At the party we made a big circle of chairs and the presents were put into a big bag. Then one by one we pulled a present out of the bag. I recieved Russian doll nail clippers. Another co-worker received a purple wig.
