Finding a good TV show that I'd like to watch can sometimes be difficult, especially because I want to watch a particular genre at a certain time of day.  I also have a short attention span when the characters or premise of the TV show doesn't interest me.  This means that I am constantly giving up on a series a few episodes in, which can be bothersome - and expensive - if I have to pay to rent the series on DVD, or watch it on cable TV.

Netflix is the perfect solution to my finicky TV-watching habits.  They have a wide variety of TV shows and movies to choose from, and I can start, stop, or continue watching whatever I choose, whenever I like.  And on top of that, they are continuously adding new material so it's pretty hard to run out of things to watch.

There are a few TV shows on Netflix that seem pretty interesting.  I've just finished watching season 2 of Daredevil, who is a member of the Avengers and the Marvel universe, and am looking forward to the spinoff series that will air in 2017.  I've also started to watch The OA, which has quite a few compelling characters and a very original and dramatic storyline that had me hooked with the first episode.  Another interesting series that I have yet to take a look at is called Sense8.  It's about 8 people from different locations around the world - who have very different skill sets, personalities and life experiences - linking up telepathically to temporarily transfer their abilities to one of the other 8 individuals when they are in immediate danger.  When I'm in the mood for something a little less serious, I watch Suits - a series about a law firm that has its fair share of office romance, scandals, and backstabbing.  It also has its comedic moments, so it's fun to watch late at night to unwind.

For anyone looking for a wide range of foreign programming with convenient subtitles, Netflix is free to try out for a month.
