Numbers

Hello again! When talking with students I find that they have problems with saying some big numbers, so I thought I could give you some examples to try to help a little.

10-ten

100-one hundred

1,000-one thousand

10,000-ten thousand

100,000-one hundred thousand

1,000,000-one million

I have split up the numbers below so hopefully you can see what each part means.

Examples:

125--one hundred and twenty five

376--three hundred and seventy six

1,480--one thousand four hundred and eighty

2,030--two thousand and thirty

56,291--fifty six thousand two hundred and ninety one

300,389--three hundred thousand three hundred and eighty nine

4,608,900--four million six hundred and eight thousand nine hundred

I hope those examples have helped you!
